The Ortho Strong 90×200 cm from BeCo is a very good, high-quality mattress with a good price-performance ratio. It is characterised by its double-sided usability. One side is soft, while the other side is significantly firmer. This makes it suitable for both normal awnd heavier body weights. The memory function is particularly noteworthy. The mattress adapts to the shape of the body without being uncomfortable or becoming unusable for another person. It is also impressive that the mattress has hardly any chemical odours. However, one high-level criticism is that the mattress is unusually heavy for a 90 x 200 mattress.

The 90×200 mattress is supplied in a large, sturdy cardboard box. The mattress is vacuum-packed and can be easily torn out of the plastic film. Alternatively, a knife can also be used without damaging the mattress. A list with instructions for use and washability is enclosed. Instructions for use are not included, but this is negligible given the simple handling of the mattress.

The 90×200 mattress from BeCo looks just as you would expect a high-quality, double-sided mattress to look. Both sides are finished to the same high standard, there are no protruding seams or production residues. There are no visible or unpleasant manufacturing defects. All seams and patterns are symmetrical and finished to a high standard. There is also no perceptible chemical odour at any time. As soon as the mattress is taken out of the packaging, it inflates to its approx. 21 cm thick shape within a few seconds and is immediately ready for use.

The comfort of the mattress was analysed at the beginning of the practical test. It was found that both the soft H2 side and the firmer H3 side are very comfortable and there are no differences in quality. Thanks to the memory effect, the mattress also scores highly in terms of point elasticity – it can be pressed in, but returns to its original shape within a few moments. Hardly any disturbing or unusual noises were perceived during the various movements that are common during sleep. Adjustment to different sleeping positions was also smooth and very comfortable. It is impressive that the chemical odour that arises during production evaporates within a few moments and is barely perceptible.
