The Pur children’s mattress makes a positive impression as soon as it is unpacked. The sturdy cardboard box offers sufficient protection during transport. Although unnecessary packaging waste has been avoided, the use of plastic film could possibly be a point of criticism for some consumers. With regard to the sustainability of the product, it should be mentioned that the Pur children’s mattress is eco5 and CertiPUR certified. As part of our practical test, we tested the Pur children’s mattress in detail and documented the results using the specified test methods. The lying comfort was rated as very good , with the medium firmness level being specially designed for babies and toddlers up to 3 years of age. The mattress is characterised by its breathable, open-pored foam core and built-in air chambers, which contribute to an excellent sleeping climate. No chemical odour was detected in the test. The product adapts very well to different sleeping positions and offers excellent pressure distribution and support for the spine thanks to the point-elastic foam. Cleaning and caring for the Pur children’s mattress is particularly easy, as the antibacterial cover can be removed using the all-round zip and is washable at 60 °C. In addition, the product has been tested for harmful substances in accordance with eco5 and CertiPUR certification, which guarantees maximum safety and harmlessness to health. Customers can currently choose between the sizes 60-90 x 120-200 cm.

On the Amazon platform, consumers rate the product with an average of 4.5 stars. In individual cases, there are complaints that a chemical odour is noticeable at the beginning. On the other hand, the breathability, lying comfort, odour neutrality and washable cover are positively emphasised. We were able to confirm the positive points in our practical test. We were unable to detect a chemical odour.
Prices of over €185 are charged on the internet for equivalent products. Very affordable products are available from as little as €28 . The Pur children’s mattress in the size 60 x 120 cm from Alcube® is therefore currently in the lower price segment with a price of €39.99. For the quality and performance received, the price-performance ratio is very good.
