The shower hook from AVOIR BESOIN made a very good impression in our test.
A positive feature of the shower hook is that it is available in two colors, one version in a brushed stainless steel look and one version in a powder-coated black design. It was also possible to attach the shower hook using the pieces of felt supplied. This allows the customer to move the shower hook after it has been attached for the first time.
The shower hook also impresses with its rust-free, durable, sustainable and resilient material, which means it can withstand the rigors of a damp bathroom. The holder is multifunctional and can hold a razor or shower squeegee at the same time as a towel. Another advantage is that the shower hook with its application range of 4-12 mm glass width is suitable for all standard shower walls. Two hooks are included so that you can use one shower hook for your own towel and razor and the other for your partner’s towel and shower squeegee.
Weighing in at 100 grams, the shower hook can carry a payload of up to 2 kilograms .

The shower hook from AVOIR BESOIN arrived in the typical Amazon box. The box and the product inside were undamaged and could be easily removed by detaching the flap.
In addition to the plastic-wrapped shower hook, the box contained several felt cut-outs that can be individually attached to the inside of the shower hook to prevent scratches to the shower wall.
The shower hook was sufficiently protected from dirt and scratches by the plastic cover. The packaging of the shower hook is not recyclable, but the product box and Amazon box are.
Overall, the shower hook from AVOIR BESOIN makes a very good first impression.

After unpacking, there were 10 things on the table.
In addition to the shower hook, the box contained 8 felt pads for adjusting the distance between the glass when mounting. The shower hook is attached by hooking it into the shower wall.
There are no instructions for installing the shower hook on the product packaging, but the item and its installation are self-explanatory. The contact information was on the bottom of the box and the customer can send an email to customer service. All in all, this is a well thought-out and customer-friendly way of sending a product.

The shower hook impresses at first glance with its beautiful, smooth surface, which has a stainless steel look or black powder coating, depending on the version. With its 100 gram weight, the product also looks very robust and high quality. The plastic protective cover prevents damage during transportation and the stainless steel does not show any dirt or scratches. It is questionable whether a more sustainable packaging could be chosen instead of plastic. The felt strip supplied was made to fit the product perfectly and seals the adhesive surface perfectly.
In terms of sustainability, AVOIR BESOIN shower hooks are made from high-quality materials to guarantee the customer a versatile and robust product.

The shower hook from AVOIR BESOIN offers customers the opportunity to conveniently hang their towel and another bath accessory, such as a shower squeegee or wet razor, on the shower wall. Installing the shower hook is child’s play and you can individually determine the required distance for the shower wall by gluing in different felt pads.
After installation, we tested how much weight the shower hook can withstand. Assuming that a wet towel weighs around 350 – 400 grams per square meter and that the towel rail is used by 3 towels of 2 square meters each at the same time, it must be able to withstand at least 2.1 kilograms. In our load capacity test, the stability was therefore tested using 3 kilograms. The shower hook passed this with flying colors and no signs of fatigue such as bending were detected.
One drawback is the choice of gap for the shower squeegee. The gap is just 1.6 cm and is particularly suitable for thinner shower squeegees or razors.
All in all, we are very positive about the AVOIR BESOIN shower hook.

Customers like the fact that the shower hook is made of high-quality materials and that it can be easily installed on the shower enclosure. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that the installation was very easy and that it was possible to position the shower hook perfectly with the help of the felt pieces. We consider the manufacturer’s product promise to have been kept.
Prices of up to €30.79 are charged on the internet for equivalent products. Very inexpensive products are available from as little as €5.95 (in this case, however, individual shower hooks). The AVOIR BESOIN towel rail is currently priced at €20.99 (for the set of 2), which puts it in the mid-price segment. The price ratio is reasonable for the quality and scope of services you get.
