The DG-B thermo glass from Creano made a very good impression in our test. In addition to its elegant design and pleasant handling, the product impresses with its good thermal insulation. The high-quality borosilicate glass looks robust. However, it should be mentioned that the thermo glasses are shaped differently, which is due to the manufacturing process and does not bother us. The thermal glass is easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher, although care must be taken with the sensitive membrane for overpressure equalisation. Hot drinks stay warm on the inside for over an hour, while the outside of the glass can be handled without burning .

We have looked at and tested the product in detail in a practical test. In the following, we take a closer look at the features and impressions. The product is subjected to our test procedure from the packaging, materials and quality to the range of functions and handling.

Packaging
For our test, the Creano thermal glasses came in the typical shipping box. This was undamaged and easy to open by removing the adhesive strip. The product box contained the thermal glasses protected with polystyrene, including instructions for use. The packaging method optimally protects the product from scratches and dirt. As a result, product protection was fully guaranteed and the thermal glasses were delivered in perfect condition.
The packaging is also recyclable. In this respect, the product leaves a very good first impression. Neither the thermo jars nor the packaging used were damaged. However, the LFGB labelling was not clearly printed on the product or carton. The manufacturer was able to send this to us on request. Furthermore, borosilicate glass is a safe glass that does not contain or release any potentially harmful substances.

The product box contained six double-walled DG-B thermo jars and instructions for use. The properties of the product as well as instructions for use and warnings can be found both on the packaging and in the clearly written instructions in five languages.

Nevertheless, this is a very good way to send a product.

Firstly, it should be mentioned that the thermal glass makes a very good visual impression. We didn’t notice any scratches or processing faults . The product also impresses with its appealing yet simple design. The thermal glass sits comfortably in the hand and looks robust. However, it should be mentioned that the thermo glasses are shaped differently, which is due to the manufacturing method (mouth-blown) and does not bother us any further. One of the thermal glasses is not completely flat.
There is no indication of the sustainability of the product. However, borosilicate glass can be completely recycled and reused by melting it down. The materials used appear to be of very high quality, which is why we assume a long service life.
To ensure a long service life, the manufacturer provides tips on how to clean and handle the thermo glass correctly in the enclosed instructions for use. It was manufactured in China.

Before using the thermal glass for the first time, the manufacturer recommends cleaning the product thoroughly. This can be done by hand or in the dishwasher , but the manufacturer warns against direct exposure of the membrane to hot water or sharp objects. The effects of repeated cleaning in practice would have to be determined in a long-term test. After the first dishwasher cycle, the product still had its original properties.
In the practical test, the product scored points with its good heat insulation of over an hour on the inside while keeping the outer glass at a cool temperature. Thanks to its shape, the product sits harmoniously in the hand. The rounded rim also makes it very pleasant to drink from.
However, it should be mentioned that when filled with 100 ml, only a small rim remains, which may seem too small for some customers. In our test, the product holds around 120 ml when filled to the brim. However, as the thermal glasses are ideal for serving espresso and are generally a small glass, this is not a problem.
The DG-B model tested (6x 100 ml) is also available in 250 ml and 400 ml, in various set sizes and with and without a handle.

On the Amazon platform, consumers have given the product an average rating of 4.6 stars. Some criticise the fact that the thermal glasses do not pass the long-term test and that the membrane becomes permeable when used in the dishwasher. In addition, not everyone likes the sometimes different appearance of the natural product. On the other hand, other reviewers were unable to confirm the defect and therefore praise the ease of cleaning the product. They also like the design and the very good thermal insulation. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that the thermal glasses leave a very high-quality impression, the drink is kept warm for a long time and the initial cleaning did not cause any damage. We are unable to make any statement about dishwasher suitability in the long term, as this would require a practical test over a longer period of time. We noticed the different appearance, but did not find it annoying. The only point of criticism is the actual capacity, which should be stated as 80 ml rather than 100 ml.
Prices of up to €58 are charged on the internet for equivalent products. Very inexpensive products, on the other hand, are available for as little as €20. This means that Creano thermal glasses are currently priced at €28.90, which puts them in the lower price segment. Consequently, the price ratio is very good for the quality and scope of services that you receive.
