The toilet brush from Avoir Besoin made a very good impression in our test. Compared to conventional toilet brushes, it impresses with its special material, which gives neither odors nor bacteria a chance thanks to the so-called lotus effect. The modern design is also very eye-catching and gives the bathroom a modern touch. All in all, a very successful product, the advantages and disadvantages of which we will be happy to discuss in more detail in the following lines.

The product was delivered in the typical Amazon box. The box was undamaged and easy to open thanks to the zipper without any additional tools. The toilet brush was delivered separately in an environmentally friendly printed box. It should definitely be emphasized that the instructions were printed directly on the box. The individual parts are again wrapped separately in tissue paper, which prevents unnecessary scratches and soiling during transportation.

The scope of delivery includes an all-in-one set and, conveniently, no additional parts are required. In addition to the brush head, the stainless steel handle and the container, a set for wall mounting is also included. This contains the holder, adhesive pads and an alcohol-free cleaning cloth. Instructions on how to use and care for the product can be found on the product packaging. All in all, this is a very well thought-out and customer-friendly way of sending a product.

In our test, we had no difficulty screwing the two main parts – the brush head and handle – together. The only thing you have to be careful about is sticking the wall brackets in the right direction. It is recommended that you wait 12 hours after attaching the holder before you can put any weight on it. We can confirm that the adhesive strip sticks extremely firmly and has an extremely strong hold after just a few minutes and thorough pressing. Avoir Besoin has also thought about sustainability. The brush head is replaceable and can be reordered separately. This means that the handle can be used for a long time and does not have to be disposed of. According to the manufacturer, the materials used are also recyclable. A plus for the environment!

After assembly and installation, it’s time for the practical test. It is noticeable that the brush adapts ergonomically to the contours of the toilet during cleaning. This means that every corner can be reached and all dirt is easy to remove. Even stubborn stains can be easily scraped off with the rim cleaner, making the use of other bathroom aids superfluous. We also tested the advertised lotus effect. The water and all dirt literally roll off the brush head, making it extremely hygienic in terms of odors and bacteria.
After cleaning, the brush disappears discreetly into the beautifully designed container and is no longer visible. Incidentally, this can simply be detached from the wall bracket for cleaning – a very smart and ingenious concept.
